We need to talk about Artificial Intelligence & Nano-technology

We have to face it, the domain market is not what it used to be and it cannot consume large quantities of semi-trending, half baked domain names. If you want to stay relevant in the domain trading business you will have to level-up and focus on high-quality high-value domain names.

You must do thorough research and make informed domain registrations

What this means is that you should have insight into the business, industry or tech behind the generic term you want to register as a domain name instead of hand-registering everything that comes to your mind at 2 AM after a night out.

Thing is, domain names that are not on the domain brokers radar now but will be soon, are the ones that are relevant to very important tech that is still not mainstream, hence it is the talk of experts and enthusiasts.

Why the need to talk about Artificial Intelligence & Nano-technology?

In my opinion, Artificial Intelligence and Nanotechnology are the most exciting rising technologies. These two are being in development for many years now, but because of the complexity and so many ways, it can enhance and improve other industries.

artificial intelligence is futuristic

These two technologies work together very well, converging and intertwined, regarding nanocomputing. Combined work in nanotechnology and AI can also boost study in both disciplines individually, leading to all kinds of new tools used for gaining insights and improving communication technologies.

Artificial Intelligence & Nano-technology fields of convergence

Being an enthusiast myself, by following these new technologies I can suggest a few distinctive fields where these two technologies provide great benefits and elevate your insight.

Microscopy

particularly the atomic force microscopy faces the issue of getting high-quality signals from these imaging devices. The common problem is that interactions these microscopes rely on are complex, varied and therefore not easy to decipher, while an AI can be very useful in dealing with these kinds of signal-related issues.

Another example within the same field has researchers from The University of Texas Rio Grande recently announced the creation of a microfluidic channel with a removable nanotextured surface that binds to breast cancer cells.

The imaging process is segmented and combined with an AI algorithm that can automatically determine if a cell is cancerous based on historical existing cell data. The novel imaging system can contrast historical samples to the sample cells in real-time.

Chemical modeling

Software algorithms are already being used to illustrate the frameworks of molecules and materials to figure out how they may interact in various environments. A natural progression has led to the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence and the use of sophisticated machine learning algorithms.

For example, AI can minimize the degree of error related to the geometry or size of a system or particle, which is especially useful for nanomaterials as the several effects and phenomena seen with materials like graphene can often be difficult to recreate.

Nano-computing

The AI is extremely useful concerning the future of nano-computing, which is computing conducted through nanoscale mechanisms. There are different ways a nano-computing device can execute a function, and these can cover anything from the physical operations to computational methods.

The machine learning procedures will be crucial in order to generate novel information representations for a broad range of uses.

Quantum computing

Another complementary tech is quantum computing which is a subject of research by companies in the big data and data-center business (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, IBM … etc.).

Notably, a few days ago the news of Google quantum computers achieving quantum supremacy shook the tech world when their team of experts was able to finish a complex problem within 200 seconds, while this task would take 10.000 years to be done by a traditional computer.

scientists believes the brain is basically a quantum computer.

Arguably, IBM noted that their Summit supercomputer would find the solution in two and a half days, but this does not diminish Google’s success with the result of two and a half minutes. Still, the Google quantum computer would finish the task at hand about 1440 faster than the IBM supercomputer, meaning this is a true milestone.

The future of Artificial Intelligence software is it being run with a quantum computer which will enable much faster problem solving than traditional computers.

A word of advice regarding new domain registrations

The main issue with registering a domain name today to make it worth a lot “tomorrow” is avoiding trademark infringement. You do not want to register a domain name and pay for its renewal several years only to have it taken away because you did not know there is a perfect match TM registered before your domain name.

Make sure to check trademark registrations both in the US, UK and possibly China because, in my opinion, these are the strongest, world-leading economies that may be interested in your valuable domain names in the future.

Conclusion

Now, before these rising technologies are being utilized by the general population, is the right time to take the opportunity and register high-value domains, and given enough research and creativity, I am sure they will spawn profitable ones.

Bear in mind these technologies are being in development for many years.
